PUMPKINS!  October 12-30, All Shepherds Youth Group will be hosting and running a Pumpkin Patch on our front lawn!  Come buy your pumpkins and other fall decorations!
October 25 and 26 - Pumpkin Walk Through the Woods!  Come see carved and decorated pumpkins glowing along a path through our woods!

Euchre Night

Don’t know how to play? Want to learn? Sign up anyways! We’ll teach you how to play! Experienced players also more than welcome!

Rock Rappelling

  • What: Overnight in Chillicothe followed by a day of rock rappelling in Hocking Hills!
  • Who: All youth grades 6-12
  • When: October 26-27, 2007
  • RSVP no later than Monday, October 22!
  • Why: Faith challenge and fun! Or an embarrassing story about Kara!

We’ll leave Friday, October 26 around 7:00 PM from All Shepherds Lutheran Church and drive to Trinity United Methodist Church (where we WILL sleep), joining one or two other youth groups. Saturday morning, we’ll be up early for breakfast and then drive to Hocking Hills to rappel! We’ll eat a packed lunch there (pack your own!) and leave late afternoon to head home. We’ll grab a fast food dinner somewhere on the way back and should return to ASLC around 7:00 PM Saturday. We’ll call en route so parents will know when we will be returning!

You'll Need:

  • Permission Slip
  • Medical Release Form (for THIS year)
  • $15 to cover for the weekend's expensese
  • Money for fast food on Saturday
  • Packed lunch for Saturday
  • Sleeping bag & pillow
  • Personal items
  • Layered clothing to rappel (T-shirt and sweatshirt/jacket). Clothes may get dirty
  • Jeans to rappel (required)
  • Shoes and socks (tennis shoes recommended over boots!)
  • Bible and devotional material if desired
  • Snacks if desired

Never been rappelling? No worries! We'll have a trained leader teaching us and watching out for our safety!  It's an adrenaline ruse and a great story of faith!

Senior High Mission Weekend

When: September 21-23

Senior high only mission weekend in Hamilton, OH. Sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex!

Details

  • Depart on Friday, September 21. Met at ASLC at 5:30.
  • Lodging at Faith Community United Methodist Church on Friday and Saturday nights and will worship with them on Sunday morning.
  • Mission Work: We will be continuing where we left off this summer with the Teen Center renovation and some cleaning/organizing of the Children's Center.
  • Returning at ASLC around 2:30 on Sunday afternoon, September 23.
  • Cost is $30 cash, which includes meals on Saturday, donation toLiving Waters and Faith Community UMC, and gas.
  • Bring extra money for fast food dinner Friday and fast food Sunday lunch, pillow, sleeping bag, towel/washcloth, toiletries, PJs, work clothes, clothes for church on Sunday (casual is fine as long as appropriate), paint brush, & work gloves.
